Best of 2013 Episode 7
Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome your hosts, Nick, Drew, and Holly!
*live studio audience cheers as Nick, Drew, and Holly walk
to the stage*
*Nick, Drew, and Holly greet the audience*
Holly: “Hello again! Welcome to another episode of Best of
2013!”
*audience cheers*
Drew: “Whoa, it’s one week already we’re hosting this show!
We have counted down the top 150 music videos from 150 to 86! And we’re getting
closer to the top 75! Now, we’re revealing the music videos number 85 to 81!”
Nick: “And… we also have first Australian Idol champion and former The X Factor Australia judge, Guy Sebastian, performing his new
single, Like a Drum, in the live
lounge!”
Holly: “And, girls, especially, K-pop fans, get ready to get
excited because Shinee is performing in the live lounge too!!”
*audience cheers*
Drew: “Also, we’re going to speak about the top 5 worst TV
shows of 2013, but if your show made into the list, please don’t be mad. It’s
just opinions. At least I can make fun on the worst TV shows, right?”
Holly: “Not on air, Drew, seriously.”
Nick: “By the way… the live voting is now officially closed!
So no more voting for your favorite nominees right now, you’re really too late
now if you still want to vote! So, the winners will be revealed starting
tomorrow! Holly, Drew, actually I’m so excited to find out the winner of each
category, I’m wondering if Taylor Swift can win most awards again.”
Drew: “Or will Imagine Dragons win many awards too.”
Holly: “Rather than listening to the unnecessary
conversation, here’s video number 85, Adele – Skyfall.”
Nick: “Hey, we’re talking about the award nominations!”
Drew: “We’re speaking who to win!”
Holly: “*talks to the producer* What? No official video?
*stars at Drew and Nick* Nick, Drew, our number 85 didn’t have any official
music video.”
Nick: “Well, that’s easy, just play the lyric video and let
them singing along.”
Drew: “No, I don’t think that’s not a good idea at all,
Nick.”
Nick: “We played the lyric video last year, Drew, so why
don’t we…”
Drew: “Just play her performance from Oscar already instead
just a lyric video! Producer, play her Oscar performance!”
#85. Adele – Skyfall (16171 pts.)
Drew: “Well, that’s better than we just see the lyric video.
At least you can see her performing there in the music video, right, Nick?”
Nick: “Yeah, that’s really fair, Drew.”
Drew: “Guys, as we promised last night, we’ll be speaking
the top 5 worst TV shows of 2013! They’re the worst of the year of course even
though most TV shows are creatively made. We’re starting at worst TV show
number 5!”
Nick: “Number 5 goes to… Welcome
to the Family on NBC, starring Mike O’Malley, the show follows two different
families, one Latino, one Caucasian, a teenage girl who is a Caucasian is
impregnated by a Latino boy. The pair decided to get married, forcing them to
bond and blend the two different families.”
Drew: “Well, critics are negatively reviewed this show,
Brian Lowry from Variety said that the show was a sitcom with a knock-knock
joke, while Hank Steuver from The Washington Post said that Welcome to the Family is a nominee for
cancellation.”
Nick: “Thanks to the negative reviews, the show was
cancelled after only three episodes due to anemic ratings. I actually watched
the show, it eventually so unfunny.”
Drew: “I haven’t watched the show yet, but I heard it’s
still airing in India.”
Nick: “Worst TV show of 2013 number 4, we have Lucky 7 on ABC, which was cancelled
after only two episodes, despite being executive produced by Steven Spielberg.
It was adaptation from hit British show, The
Syndicate.”
Drew: “Lucky 7 is
not lucky enough to get viewers, also Kristin Dos Santos from E! said that the
show wasn’t memorable. Lucky 7 is
also the first show to get cancelled.”
Nick: “We’ll be right back to reveal the worst TV show
number 3, please enjoy music video number 84, Carly Rae Jepsen – This Kiss.”
Drew: “Wait, did you say Steven Spielberg, Nick?”
#84. Carly Rae Jepsen – This Kiss (16381 pts.)
Holly: “Welcome to the
Family is the worst show number 5, while Lucky 7 is the worst show number 4, they both cancelled after few
episodes due to low ratings. Number 3 is another show from NBC, it’s the
negatively reviewed the remake of the hit 1960s cop show, Ironside, starring Blair Underwood. The casting of Blair Underwood
as the title character drew controversy despite the fact he does not have
physical disability. Also Rotten Tomatoes notes this show as lackluster remake,
it received 14% approval rating on the site as well. We have two more worst TV
shows to reveal after the music videos number 83 and 82, and Shinee will
perform on the live lounge between videos number 83 and 82, you’re going to be
excited, right, ladies?”
*audience cheers*
Holly: “But wait, first, before music video number 83,
please welcome, Aussie Idol first champion, Guy Sebastian, on the live lounge!!”
#83. Drake – Hold On, We’re Going Home (16396 pts.)
Ladies, you’re going to get excited about this, performing their latest
single, Everybody, please welcome
Shinee!!
#82. PSY – Gangnam Style (16677 pts.)
Nick: “That’s PSY’s Gangnam
Style, the music video number 82!”
Drew: “Wait? Seriously? Gangnam
Style made into the list?”
Nick: “I’m so serious, Drew.”
Holly: “Before we’re closing the show with video number 81,
we have two worst shows of 2013, We Are
Men and Dads, both are negatively
received sitcoms, but we know only one is the worst. The Hollywood Reporter
said that We Are Men is about four
single guys you wouldn't ever want to be around or be related to in any way,
while Dads, which was executive
produced by Seth MacFarlane, the same guy who created Family Guy and American Dad,
was also criticized for having racist joke. Well, what’s the worst TV show?”
Drew: “I guess we have to say to Seth MacFarlane fans,
because Dads is the worst show of
2013.”
Nick: “Dads also
holds 0% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, where the consensus reads ‘A
near-total disaster, Dads makes the fatal mistake of believing its
racist gags can lend an edge to its aggressively predictable writing and
unlikable characters.’”
Holly: “Thankfully, Dads
will be cancelled.”
Drew: “Don’t say that, Holly, you’re offending Seth
MacFarlane fans, including me.”
Nick: “You’re not Dads’
fan, Drew!”
Drew: “I’m still one of Seth MacFarlane fans, Nick! Just
forget the worst shows of 2013, tomorrow night, we’ll reveal the best shows of
2013, maybe Breaking Bad made into
the list.”
Nick: “Please, Breaking
Bad is the best show of all time, it’s obvious that…”
Holly: “Don’t spoil it, Nick, talk about Breaking Bad tomorrow night. And our
countdown continues tomorrow from number 80 to 76. Whoa! We’ve already counted
25 of 100 music videos already! I can’t wait to see the number one in the live
finale!”
Drew: “Be patience, Holly, so many episodes to go.”
Nick: “By the way, guys, don’t forget to come back tomorrow
night at 8 PM JKT to see videos number 80 to 76! Good night, everybody, here’s
video number 81!”
Holly: “Work! Work!”
Drew: “Good night, everybody!!”
*audience cheers*
#81. Britney Spears – Work Bitch (16888 pts.)
